Class 2 NIC Contributions are payable by Self-employed persons.

The weekly contribution is £2.65 per week although a Certificate of Exception will be available where annual earnings

are expected to be less than £5,595.

The special rate for share fisherman is £3.30 a week and for volunteer development workers £5.35 a week.
